The kitchen was one of our first finished projects. It went from a dark space with a major 70's vibe to an updated, bright and modern space that actually makes me somewhat enjoy cooking!
The dining room went from an awkwardly long, dark space to a bright and cozy spot complete with a mudroom next to it leading outside.
The mudroom was completely non-existent- we built a wall separating it from the dining room. We're so glad we did it as it serves as a catchall for our shoes, jackets, winter gear, etc. and helps keep the mess from making its way into the rest of the home!
The living room started out very dark and closed-in; it had wood paneling and carpet that we ripped out, then refinished the walls and hardwood underneath the carpet. We opened up the wall to create a much more open feel. We are going to replace the front doors when we re-side the house this summer.
The guest bedroom was the first bedroom we finished- since the master was such a big undertaking, we slept in the guest bedroom for about 4 months while we worked on the master. It has actually been "remodeled" since we first finished it- I painted the walls a pretty gray and did a fun shiplap wall. I most recently added some new bedding and artwork, and moved our old living room rug into the room as well.
The master bedroom was originally pink and small- we opened up the wall between that room and the room next to it and are in the process of creating a master suite. By removing the closets between the two rooms, we added an extra 3ish feet to the bedroom. We finished the master suite renovation during the winter of 2018 and we now have a walk-through closet and en-suite bathroom.
